Natural Dye Techniques with artist Ashley Thayer

Local dyer Ashley Thayer will provide an overview and demonstration of natural dye techniques. We will cover the basic processes of dyeing with demonstrations of two of the most interesting dyestuffs native to Oaxaca: indigo (añil) and cochineal (red produced from a bug found on prickly pear cacti).
