June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month, when we focus on preventing our aging population from being targeted by scams.

According to Consumer Reports, seniors and their families lose more than three billion dollars a year to financial predators, and the best way you can fight back is to get informed. The Stop Senior Scams Acting Program, which was formed to offer helpful advice and information to seniors, will do a free Senior Fraud Awareness Program for the community on Thursday, June 22 at the Westside Pavilion (10800 West Pico Blvd. Suite 312, Los Angeles, CA., 90064) from 1:30-2:30pm.
