Police Commission seeks public opinion

The Commission is seeking the assistance of the community to participate by completing an online survey to express their thoughts, opinions, and concerns in regards to the LAPD video release policy.  The West Bureau meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Seoul Recreation Center on San Marion at 6:30 p.m.    

We encourage community constituents to attend the meeting, or visit www.lapdvideo.org to complete the online survey.  The survey is provided in both English/Spanish languages, and is completely confidential.

Suspects attempted to brake the victims front door with a brick, they were unsuccessful and fled the location.

04-03-17 6:50 A.M. & 9:20 A.M.

11800 W. Olympic Bl.

Suspect(s) entered storage facility, they attempted to gain entry into several units.  They were unable to gain entry into the units, thus fled the location.  Detectives have video footage.

Suspect(s) pried open the side glass door of the victims residence.  Once inside the suspect ransacked the property and removed property and left the location.

Suspect(s)  smashed the front door with a brick, once inside the suspect(s) removed property and fled location.

Unknown suspect(s) forced open the front window entered the residence and removed property.  Suspect(s) fled via the read door.

Suspect(s) entered the victims apartment by unknown means, suspect fled location with victims property.

Suspects (2) smashed the victims glass door

Suspect(s) smashed the front door of the victim's business, once inside they removed property.

11500 Rochester Ave.

Suspect(s) possibly used a key to enter the victims storage locker.  Suspect(s) fled the location with victims property.

03-20-17 9:00 P.M & 3-31-17 2:45 A.M.

Suspect(s) used an angle grinder to open the victims front door to his business.  Once inside suspect(s) removed property and fled the location in an unknown direction.

 The victim said she was walking home when a males grabbed her wrist and demanded her property.  The Victim pulled away and ran from the location, she was able to get away from the suspect and call police.

11900 Walnut Ln

The victims bicycle was locked to a pole in the front of his residence.  Unknown suspect removed the lock and fled the location with the victims bicycle and lock.

Thank you all for the information regarding RV's, Homeless issues and other quality of life issues.  Please let me know if you are having any specific problems in you neck of the woods.  We have made some positive outreach with my homeless population.  I was able to get one who hangs at Ohio & Wellesley, a case worker and housed.

Description: Start the new year of 2017 right by joining us here at the West L.A. Regional Branch as we partner with Wise & Healthy Aging (www.wiseandhealthyaging.org) and trained workshop leaders from the UCLA Memory Program to facilitate a four-part, Memory Training workshop.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Four Free workshops that meet for two-hours per week for four weeks

Developed by neuroscientists from UCLA

Intended for older adults who are concerned about their memory

This program is not suitable for people already with dementia or memory loss.

What to expect as we grow older

Different types of memory

Remembering lists

Name/ face recognition and "tip of the tongue."
